In Neuendorf / Plogshagen there are small shops for daily needs, freshly caught or smoked fish directly from the fisherman at the harbor, several restaurants and cafés, the fishing museum, a playground and bike rentals. A local bus runs across the island to the north to Kloster. Many have caught their first fish here, and fishing cards are available on the island. Your host Mr. Niemann was the third generation of fishermen on Hiddensee and can tell you a lot about fishing in Neuendorf.
