Welcome to our Buena Vista mountain home "Twin Creek Cabin". Our home is located on CR 306 and is 3.0 miles from town. The town is the center of numerous enjoyable events for the whole family year-round! We are right across the street from the Comanche Drive-in Movie Theatre which is from May till September. Please read full description, house rules and policy before reserving.
For your 2021/2022 ski, snowshoe and snowmobile season. We are just a 45-50 minute drive to Monarch Ski Resort and or Ski Cooper. For snowmobiling and snowshoeing, Cottonwood Pass and many more trails are available right up the road from our home.
Cottonwood Hot Springs is just 2 miles up the road for relaxing after your day of adventure.
The Comanche Drive-In Movie Theater is open during the Summer/Fall months and is located right across the road from our vacation home
We have been reviewed over 200 times on VRBO and Airbnb from many happy guests and we do our best to make our home feel welcome when you arrive for your stay.
We're really sorry but we can not have non-paying friends or family at the home that are not part of the reservation at anytime during your stay. We are trying to follow all the rules that are given to us from the town, county, host web sites and insurance. We hope you understand. Failure to do so will result in loss of deposit and will be asked to leave the home. Please no gathering, events, dinners or parties at the home with non-paid guests during your stay.
The outside of the home is monitored by Blink video surveillance for insurance purposes, weather conditions, security measures and for your safety, as well as recent wildlife activity at the home.
It is best to have a 4x4 and or All Wheel Drive for access in the winter months. contact us for snow plowing process and fees.
We Offer:
3 large bedrooms:
*Creekside Bedroom* - Queen size bed.
Open the window and fall asleep to the sounds of Cottonwood Creek
*Mount Princeton Master Bedroom* - King Size Bed.
With French doors to the back patio, See and hear the Cottonwood Creek
*The Bear Den Bedroom* for the family or kiddos - 2 Queen size beds.
This is where the kids laugher continues after bedtime.
We also offer 1 queen-size framed air mattress and one new futon for extra beds needed. Sleeps 6 people.
We have 2 1/2 bathrooms, a large playroom with ping pong and other family games to play with and enjoy. 2 T.Vs/ 2 Smart DVD/ Blu-ray players, full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee makers and toaster. The dining room table can seat up to 8 people. We have a large family room, washer & dryer, and ceiling fans in all rooms. We provide WiFi / Internet service too. We do not offer cable or Dish TV. We do have smart BluRay players that offer streaming programs as well as many DVD movies at the home. The TV does have 3 tv stations ( Public Television, Children's station, and world news).
The home is inspected/stocked before and after your visit to make sure all is cleaned and ready to go for you and for our next guest.
Sorry but we have received a large amount of pet accidents / damage at the home so we are unable to host any families with pets.
Please leave the home in good condition as possible. You are liable for any excessive cleaning that is required.
Loss of deposit will occur for any truck campers, camping trailers, RVs at the home. No camping and or pit fires allowed on the property.

Buena Vista, Spanish for 'Good View' is aptly named. There are 19 trailheads for most of Chaffee County's 14,000-foot peaks, all located within an hour of Buena Vista. Buena Vista offers a wide variety of activities year-round for the whole family to enjoy! Within minutes from your doorstep you will find fishing, hiking & biking trails, horseback riding, boating, kayaking, Jeep and ATV rentals are available for self-guided touring, whitewater rafting down the exciting Arkansas River, snowmobiling, skiing, golfing, Hot Springs pools, and so much more!

Wild Life & Views:
You don’t have to drive or walk far to view the wildlife. We have had elk, deer, fox, bear, and hummingbirds right in our backyard. There are beautiful views of the collegiate peaks and over 500 feet of Cottonwood Creek running through 2.5 acres of property to enjoy.

Buena Vista offers many fine-dining restaurants to choose from, or if you are in the mood for home cooking, we have all the cooking utensils, pots & pans you need for your home-cooked meals.
