Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The apartment was clean and matched the description provided by the owner. The internet worked flawlessly and offered fast service. The fridge was a good size and nearly brand new. Both the air conditioning and hot water functioned perfectly, and the microwave was spotless and reliable. While I didn’t use the stove, I assume it operates well too. The location is excellent, with three nearby subway stations that make it easy to get around Tokyo. As expected, the neighborhood felt just as safe as any other part of the city. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay, this could be a good fit — just keep in mind the limitations mentioned below.

Negative: 1- The elevator was disappointingly filthy. 2- The apartment is very small—there’s no chair or seating area aside from the beds. You can’t sit to eat or even remove your shoes comfortably upon entry. 3- The closet is unusable; its doors can't open due to the bed being too close. A small piece of furniture leans against it, which can hold personal items. I would've preferred the closet be removed and a chair added instead. 4- There’s no space for suitcases. We had to use half of each bed for luggage and sleep on the remaining half. A bench for open suitcases would’ve helped. Navigating around the beds is also a challenge. 5- The photos are misleading—the unit is much smaller than it appears. This isn't unique to this listing; it’s common across rental platforms. Be mindful—spaces often look larger online than in person. 6- This unit is best suited for one or two guests. With just the two of us, we still found ourselves coordinating movements frequently. The space around the beds is quite narrow—only about 12 inches (33 cm). 7- The bathroom is a compact plastic unit, similar to others in Japan. There's no shower curtain, so water tends to splash out easily. It’s more for quick rinses than long, relaxing baths. 8- The washing machine doesn’t have English instructions, and it runs on cold water only. Drying clothes is tricky as there’s no designated area to hang them. 9- Given all the limitations mentioned, the price felt a bit steep. If you're on a tight budget, it might still be workable, but I paid half as much for a unit in Osaka that included a TV with internet and two chairs. 10 - Booking.com presents this unit as being in The Vera Hotel. This is not a Hotel.
