Summary: Quick overview: Really lovely stay, no big complaints, great size and amenities, just ensure you understand the location before booking. Very comfortable apartment, nice sofa and bed. Aircon was exceptional. Very spacious, plenty of clothes storage. Good ammenities, we used the oven and fridge/freezer and had no problems. Microwave appeared to not work. Good amount of crockery too. Nice look and feel to the place, modern style, good lighting. Small downsides: only 2 windows, 1 facing an alley and the other covered with a shutter, which wasn't clear how/if we could open. The WiFi didn't work, but I did not mention this to the landlord, so I can't comment on their helpfulness. There was a strange smell (almost fishy) every time we entered the apartment, but either it dissappated quickly once the aircon was on, or we got used to it. Pool was a little disappointing. Clever photography. It's only 0.8m deep and maybe 2mx8m. Not for swimming, but still great for cooling off and people watching the city below. (Can't see the acropolis). A short walk from Athens centre, around 30minutes to get to the acropolis/bottom of plaka, around 45minutes to Syntagma Square. No clear/easy bus routes nearby, and no metro, but we had no issues walking up and back each day as it was a straight street with plenty of shade. Only 4-7euros for a taxi into the Plaka district so very reasonable. Numerous supermarkets/shops and eateries along the street to the Acropolis.
