Positive: The Schooner Hotel is perfectly located, a few minutes’ walk to the beach. A 17th century building with an interesting history and refurbished restaurant (Indian & standard English food like fish & chips). We are a family of 4, travelling by train with our bikes. Very close to all local cafes, shops, & restaurants. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here!
Negative: There is a bike rack to lock bikes safely outside within the secured grounds, but it is uncovered, so our bikes were rained on.
Summary: We had a fantastic visit to Alnmouth, the Schooner Inn was perfect.
