The McLellan Cottage has been in our family for 50 years and we have made memories to last a 1000 lifetimes! It has all the comforts of home, without the frills, that allows you to be comfortable and connected to the world, but still feel like you are having an old fashioned disconnected vacation where time stands still and the simple joy of watching the loons swim by, or baby ducks learning to fly or folks kayaking by saying hi....just plain feels like the way life should be. The cottage has a rustic feel, we like that...it really feels like you are getting away...but at the same time, there is internet and wireless and Television and everything else you need to feel like you aren't missing something. Inside is cozy and warm and inviting, with a stocked kitchen and family room where you can start a game or puzzle and just plain leave it out to continue tomorrow. Bedrooms all have their own unique Maine flair. Bathroom has a large shower. The cottage is on its own small island....you have almost 360 degrees of privacy, plenty of property to explore and find a quiet spot away by yourself. A large fire pit and smaller ones too, picnic tables and chairs....let you just pour a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and just stare at the beauty of the pond and just be....Norton's Pond is a deep water large pond and it is connected to Megunticook Lake, a huge lake close to Camden Maine. You can access Megunticook from Norton's easily with canoes, kayaks and small boats! Available for you to use are two kayaks, a canoe and a small boat, some fishing gear and swim floats! An outside grill for cooking and two bikes to bike around the lake! Dogs are welcome...I know they are apart of your family! No-one who has come has ever been disappointed. I look forward to sharing this little piece of heaven on earth with you!
