Relax and enjoy this beautiful four season getaway. The setting is a very private wooded lot but with clear water views. The property has 200' of sandy water frontage with a private beach and sweeping views of the 250 acre pond. The pond is quiet but fully recreational. Very little traffic so you can enjoy your time out on the water kayaking, fishing, or getting in some tubing. Wintertime does not rest here. This is a perfect spot to engage in some ice fishing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and of course skiing which is just down the road a piece!
This three bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home features an open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows with sweeping views of the water. The large deck gives you the perfect spot for morning coffee and catching the loons making their rounds. There is a grill for cooking and a firepit on the beach for topping the night off with some s,mores around the campfire.
The house boasts a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances including a dishwasher. The large dining room table is ready for entertaining or to steal one end for the week long jigsaw puzzle or other board games provided. The home is tastefully decorated with ample seating in the living area and two balcony areas for plenty of getaway space for all. The three bedrooms are spacious with a queen bed in one, two full beds in another, and a bunk room with two twins and a bunk bed. There is a large screen TV and DVD player which allow for relaxing evenings when not enjoying the moonlit pond.
During the summer there is a private dock and raft for swimming and fishing. During the winter the pond is perfect for ice fishing, snow shoeing, Nordic skiing, or leave right from the property with easy access to the snow mobile trail system. Shawnee Peak is a short 15 minutes away for skiing with Sunday River just 30 minutes north.
Bridgton is a lovely town just minutes away for shopping with a variety of eclectic restaurants and our favorite movie theater. North Conway is within 30 minutes for tax fee factory outlets and all the best the White Mountains have to offer. If hiking is your desire Maine White Mountains are a bit less traveled with a short hike to Emerald Pool where you can jump off boulders into its crystal clear waters.
There are many festivals throughout the seasons the most famous being the Fryberg Fair, .Summer and fall seasons host parades, Old Home Day festivals and plenty of harvest events and apple picking. Foliage sight seeing is also a must. The winter months have some very active dog sledding events and winter carnivals.
