Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The outside/pontoon area is wonderful to relax on, with plenty of seated and shaded options. We liked being able to swim off the pontoon, and also went out in the kayak one afternoon. It’s a short and easy walk to the two nearby beaches, as well as to restaurants and the mini markets. The lunches and dinners at the Pousada are very good, although breakfast could be improved. Our bedroom was comfortable (including the bed) and we enjoyed having the hammock on the balcony. It was convenient being able to be picked up and dropped off from the Pousada’s pontoon. The staff were very friendly and made an effort with us even though there was a language barrier.
Negative: The Pousada doesn’t have a generator and there were daily power cuts during our stay, most of which lasted for hours at a time. Whilst the power cuts are out of their control, they could do more to have rechargeable battery lights or fans to give to guests, so you are not left in the dark in your room with nothing to keep cool. This did impact how rested we felt from our stay. Overall, we thought the Pousada was a little overpriced (although we did stay in peak season).
