The property consists of 2 camps (the Upper Camp & the Lower Camp) on Beaucaire Ave. that sleeps a combined total of 7. It is located on a quiet cove in one of the most desired areas of Lake Megunticook 2 miles from Camden Harbor.
The Lower Camp, sitting on the water’s edge, is a charming century old cottage. It has a small galley kitchen connecting to a light and airy living/dining room area with 6 large original windows providing a gorgeous view of the lake and Camden hills. A cast iron gas stove makes it a cozy place to be on those chilly evenings and mornings. The master bedroom has a queen bed and windows overlooking the lake and there is a smaller bunk room (ideal for children), both of which connect to a full bath. The newly added screen porch is a nice place to relax in the shade or enjoy a drink in the evening while hearing the loons in the distance. The beach and deep-water float are perfect for swimming & kayaking. The full afternoon sun makes it especially nice for sunbathing and afternoon picnics. There is a separate bathhouse next to cottage for changing.
Situated across Beaucaire Avenue on a wooded slope is the Upper Camp with all the modern amenities including a well equipped kitchen, a large dining / living area, and a fire place surrounded by antique wicker furnishings. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and adjoining bath. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and a door to a second full bath that is also accessible from the hallway. This cottage has lovely views of the lake and a woodland feel.
The property rents for a one week minimum. Please no smoking.
Note: We are planning to renovate the kitchen & bath in the Lower Cottage this summer so we cannot accept any bookings for the summer of 2024. Please feel free to submit any questions.
