A cabin with a stunning view in a private street. It is an ideal destination for guests wanting to get away from it all in an area surrounded by trees. There are various things to do in the area including kayaking at Manzanita Lake, fishing at the famous Hat Creek, conquering the highest peak in Lassen Volcanic National Park and standing atop of an active volcano, or take a hike to the bottom of the Burney Falls.
The space
Deer Mountain View cabin is a cozy 1600sqft single-story cabin with 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with mountain views throughout the cabin.
INDOOR LIVING: The living room has a wood stove fireplace. A sectional sofa that can be converted into a full-size Fulton. A 65" smart TV with Netflix and YouTube...etc. A game room with a small pool table and a 42" smart TV for extra entertainment.
INTERNET: Starlink Satellite WIFI with an average speed of 45-125MB/s, sufficient for movie streaming.
KITCHEN and DINNING: The open kitchen has a large butcher block counter. It is fully equipped with an electric range, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, oven…etc. A large custom dining room table is perfect for entertaining and having a family dinner.
OUTDOOR: Outside is a wrap-around deck with long-range Mountain Views. On a clear day, you can see Mt Shasta from the deck. Relax in chairs on the deck and enjoy the view of a beautiful sunset during summertime.
BEDROOMS: The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a twin and a twin bunk bed that is great for adults or kids.
GENERAL: The laundry room has a washer and a dryer with detergent provided.
PARKING: Driveway (3 vehicles), NO STREET PARKING.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire cabin and we provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Items include a fully equipped kitchen with basic kitchen supplies - oil, salt, pepper, spices, coffee and tea. We supply body wash in the bathrooms. We also have board games and an Xbox game console for your family's enjoyment!
Other things to note
For heating, the cabin has two recessed-mount gas wall heaters. One is in the hallway outside of the bedrooms and the other one is in the walkway between the game room and the kitchen. Each heater has its separate thermostat. Also, there is a wood stove fireplace in the living room.
There is a gas station, market, Dollar General, pizza restaurant/bar and an ice-cream shop few mins away from the cabin.
Redding is only 25 miles away where you can grab a boba tea and do some shopping at the Mt Shasta Mall or replenish your grocery at Costco.
Our cabin is at 4000 ft elevation, therefore a 4-wheel drive or snow chain is recommended in winter.
