Located in the heart of South Portland's hottest neighborhood, this modern, light-filled apartment is only two blocks from Willard Beach and less than 10 minutes from all the excitement of downtown Portland and the Old Port. Walk to the beach, many great eateries and cafés, grab a bike and hop on the Eastern Trail, and enjoy your downtime in this comfortable and well-appointed space.
THE APARTMENT
This is a one-bedroom apartment in a quiet owner-occupied home located on a large grassy lot and set back from the road on a hill. It's a perfect location to act as home base for your adventures in Southern Maine and the Portland area.
The apartment includes a comfortably appointed living room with a pull out queen size bed, one bedroom with a queen size bed, one full bathroom, a kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, coffee maker, toaster, smart TV with access to your netflix/hulu/hbo accounts and fast wi-fi.
There is parking for up to two guest vehicles in the driveway. There are many nice places to walk in the neighborhood including the beach, two lighthouses within walking distance, and many eateries and cafés. An outdoor shower with hot water is available in the back yard to rinse off after the beach.
My wife and I live upstairs and are happy to help guests with recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. We're here to help if you need it but otherwise will leave you to enjoy your stay and your trip.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The second bed is a queen size sleeper sofa with a comfortable memory foam mattress. The house is on a hill and there are some stairs from the driveway to the front of the house (about 12). The apartment is less than 10 minutes by car to downtown Portland, a 5-minute walk to Willard Beach, and within a 15-minute car ride of great surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and many other outdoor activities!
