Summary: The receptionist that checked me in and the one that checked me out were lovely. But the evening receptionist obviously would rather chat on the phone that help. It was ridiculously hot in the room, given it was one of the hottest days of the year it’s not surprising. But I was shocked to see the room where all the windows were wide open and letting in the 38degree heat. There was a fan, which only half worked and when I went down to ask for a bowl and water to cool things down I was met with ironically, a frosty reception (could have done with that in my room). I can imagine the hotel would be nice in the winter but it’s not suitable for hot nights. The TV was archaic and I couldn’t even read the numbers on the remote as it was so old. The reception for the TV was sporadic at best. I had high hopes for this hotel but unfortunately, it let me down. I was only given my VIP drink after asking, which didn’t make me feel like a VIP at all
