Rainer, the cascades, Seattle city skyline (including the Space Needle), 3 islands, 4 ferry routes, and sea bound ships unloading cargo at Seattle ports to watch and wonder. Nature your after? You’ll get that too with seals, herons, eagles, crabs, starfish AND sea lions in the winter. All this comes to you without ever leaving your deck or in home view of the Puget Sound. Use the paddle boards and discover Manchesters coastline or take out the kayaks and paddle to Blake island, a marine state park. Seattle is a boat ride away with 2 different types of ferries leaving Southworth, the ferry dock 15 minutes down the road. The fast ferry is foot traffic only and goes directly downtown while the car ferry runs to West Seattle, about a 15 minute drive to downtown. There is also a public boat dock 3 houses down from us that also has a good sandy beach for kids to play at
