La Daranne is a traditional "Maison de Maître", a spacious French farmhouse, renovated and furnished to a very high standard. A large fenced private swimming pool (14.5 mx 4.5 m) is set in a 1.2 acre garden. The house is in the middle of the Gimone valley, surrounded by the rolling hills of the Gers. (also called "French Toscany")
The house can accommodate 10 people, spread over five large bedrooms. The property has been beautifully renovated into a comfortable and spacious home while retaining its original atmosphere and charm. All large rooms have beamed ceilings. The large kitchen has a dinner / breakfast table that easily seats 10 people. The 3 bathrooms are modern and spacious, 2 with a walk-in shower and 1 with a large bath in the master bedroom. The large garden and swimming pool offer both sunny and shady places. In the hot summer, the large barn also offers a cool space with a beautiful view over the valley.
The location is perfect for those looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday, but also for the more active and sporty people. In addition to the large swimming pool, there is a wide range of cycling routes (both on the road and off-road) and beautiful hiking trails that are suitable for every level of fitness. La Daranne is located near the historic village of Simorre (5 km) with a bakery, a small supermarket and a cafe / bar and other amenities. Toulouse, the most important cultural and commercial city of southwestern France, and its Blagnac airport are only 50 minutes away by car.
