Located just 3 miles from Port Townend and nestled between the woods and the ocean, this lovely storybook home sits atop a high bluff facing the Pacific Ocean. The beautifully designed interior is a mix of modern, mid-century and art deco furniture – a perfect balance of modern style and traditional comfort. Gorgeous artwork has been thoughtfully placed throughout the house. There are spectacular views of the water and sunsets from almost every room. This home is here for friends and family and for rest and relaxation.
The first floor presents an open floorplan. The living room contains two large sofas and a comfortable lounge chair that surround a soapstone wood stove for chilly nights.
The spacious kitchen contains a 2023 Viking gas stove, high end cookware and is generously stocked with a Bosch mixer, a rice cooker, blender, waffle maker, One Pot, etc. A full pantry with spices, oils, vinegars and other essentials is there to get you started.
The dining area has a Madrona dining table with two additional leaves and can seat eight people comfortably. Bedrooms are all furnished with premium mattresses and high thread count organic sheets and linens. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and have cozy chairs should you wish to retreat with a tablet or book. Three of the bedrooms have wonderful water views and the last bedroom has a view of the forest and of the front yard.
The upstairs entertainment room features a 65-inch smart TV with ultra-high definition and a premium sound bar. There is a vintage game table in the nook with classic games such as Scrabble and Monopoly as well as modern and contemporary games. The game cart contains puzzles for all ages. The entertainment room also features a library spanning an 18-foot wall.
Radiant heat warms the first floor and both bathrooms. The second floor contains a heat pump/air conditioning unit. Individual radiators are in each of the bedrooms for additional warmth.
The yard has a circular fence enclosing the house. A large lawn beyond it extends all the way to the bluff. Multiple seats are located at the top of the bluff allowing an extended and relaxing view of the ocean. A teak picnic table rests within the fence as well as a deluxe hammock wide enough for two.
For exercise, 80 acres of preserved woodland are located a three-minute walk past the driveway. We have also installed a new Peloton bike for those who operate at a faster pace. Yoga and meditation classes are available through the Smart TV and through the Peloton bike. Yoga mats are provided.
Due to proximity to a high bluff, heavy breakables and new carpeting, this home is not child friendly.
