2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/2 floors available in our beautiful stone house right on Walton Lake in the Hudson Valley. Wake up to nature and perhaps catch bald eagles perched on our trees.
~15 mins away from Legoland, Warwick Valley apple orchards & cideries, West Point, Woodbury Commons, Bear Mountain, Harriman State Park, Storm King Art Center, Walkway Over the Hudson, Washington’s Headquarters, Newburgh waterfront, Mount Peter Ski, Renaissance Fair, Sugarloaf and much more.
The space
This house sits on 1/2 acres of land right on Walton Lake. Lake Walton was and remains to be a popular fishing ground. We get restocked with Trout every year and these fish help preserve the cleanliness and clarity of this reservoir.
There are 5 building structures onsite, 3 of which were part of the original build in 1940s:
Accessible (please read the whole description)
** the MAIN HOUSE where you'll be staying - this used to be a log cabin, that was meticulously converted by a stonemason into a full stone house in the '60s. (Third Floor is no accessible at all time)
** a BOAT HOUSE, which has since been transformed into a modern boat house (accessible to guests for boat and life vest). NOTE: we're the only ones allowed to retain a building right on the Lake as this is a legacy build & look forward to having you launch off or hang on our dock.

NO ACCESS allowed on Fl 3 - Studio Apartment that houses our belonging & we again ask you to respect our privacy. This floor will remain EMPTY on your stay.
Other things to note
A few windows are currently winter sealed. If the house is too cold or warm to your liking, please use the individual heating and cooling remote to adjust to your liking.
Only use the wood we brought in as they have been dried over the week. Making fire with wet wood will create too much smoke and Please Please watch the how to set up fire video on YouTube or our website. If that situation does come up, please open the accessible windows.
