Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vis. We could park our rental car outside the hotel itself for €15 a day, so we knew it was safe. We then caught a bus from right outside the hotel in to the Old City, a ten minute ride and the buses went frequently. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the bay which we loved, and it had a small balcony. But the hotel is a bit tired, and sometimes we had no hot water in our bathroom, depending on the time of day. The breakfast was incredible, so much choice, we really were impressed by the variety and quality. The beach itself is pebbly and so it was tricky to swim. Swim shoes would have been useful. We were there for two nights in October at the end of the tourist season.
