Summary: The hotel itself is very nice - clean and attractive and, I believe, fairly new. There's a convenient little concession behind the front desk with snacks and drinks. At breakfast (additional charge) the service was friendly and timely, and the food was tasty. The location is hard to describe. There's not a lot in the immediate vicinity (except the Madison water authority); but it's not too far a walk to Williamson Street, where you will find Madison Sourdough - a great place for bread and breakfast - and Lake Monona is a few blocks further on.
