Positive: This was a really lovely hotel in a great location, right next to Villa Melzi and around a 20-minute walk from the centre of Bellagio. Being slightly outside the centre meant it was much quieter and less crowded with tourists, which we really appreciated. The standout for us was the staff. Fabio, Bianca, and Greta were excellent and incredibly attentive throughout our stay. They responded very quickly via WhatsApp and helped us organise shuttles to and from the centre and restaurants, as well as taxis and restaurant reservations. Their willingness to help with our requests really stood out, and we greatly appreciated their assistance. It made the hotel experience worth it. I didn’t give the hotel five stars because there were several aspects of our stay that could be improved: * The Deluxe Room: We booked a Deluxe Room, but unfortunately it felt much more like a standard double room. It was small, quite basic, and had no real view. The windows faced directly onto the main road rather than the mountains or surrounding scenery, so we had to keep them closed for privacy. There was also a strong musty smell in the room, which was unpleasant. Given the “Deluxe” description, we expected a higher standard and were disappointed with this experience. * Accessibility and safety: I would not recommend the rooms for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. The bathroom floor was extremely slippery, particularly when wet, and could easily cause someone to fall or injure themselves. We were travelling with an older family members, so this was particularly challenging. Some additional safety measures would make a significant difference - especially for those with disabilities. * Restaurant reservation miscommunication: There was an unfortunate miscommunication with one staff member regarding a restaurant reservation. We were told the booking had been arranged, but when we arrived at the restaurant, there was no reservation under our name.
