The historic Rollin' High Sipal Ranch is a part of Colorado West. The family home sits in the middle of some of the most amazing views, mountains, Reservoir, meadows and Rollin' Hills.
With the 4 bedrooms and the 5th sleeping loft all come with comfortable Queen beds and western/mountain decorating a good nights sleep after a day in the great outdoors is assured. The Master has an attached bathroom, with Jetted tub and sink with a long counter to put all of your bathroom needs. There is another full bath attached, that has a shower and toilet along with another sink and counter, with a door to the master and also to the hallway, so it can be used by others. On a separate wing, with the 2 bedrooms decorated in western decor, they have Queen beds, with a full-size bathroom to share. On the sleeping loft there is yet another Queen bed and plenty of space to hang out, or go sit outside on the deck through the double doors. Downstairs is a private bedroom, with new Log Queen bed and plenty of room in the closet for vacation clothes. The bathroom on this level holds the new steam shower/ toilet and double sink.
The kitchen has been updated, but still holds its charm, plenty of counter space, cupboards with everything you would need to cook and serve a meal. to a large family or families. There is a counter to sit and chat with the cooks, and no walls ,so the flow of entertainment to the main floor is open. With the dining room right next to the kitchen, along with two tables for multiple families. In the living area there are large couches and arm chairs to gather around the large stone fireplace. The great room is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the mountains, meadows and rollin' hills.
The home is located in the new National Historical Park which is one of four in the nation. The rich history of the mining district and railroads provide an interesting setting to explore. South Park City is a recreation of the old mining days and has a museum complete with an entire ghost town to explore. Fairplay is about 10 minutes away. Boreas Pass, Guanella Pass, Mosquito Pass, and Weston Pass are but a few of the many areas you will want to explore - especially in the Fall as this area is known for it's magnificent Fall foliage. You can take Mosquito Pass right into Leadville and explore dozens of old mines there. Breckenridge with world class skiing and shopping is less than an hour away. Buena Vista with its famous rafting and ATV trails is 45 minutes away. Colorado Springs is about 1 hour away. The home is located on Highway 9 south of Fairplay. You will enjoy the flexibility of being able to explore all of the exciting areas in the heart of the Rockies by being in the center of all the activities. You will be able to enjoy a luxurious home but also the seclusion and beauty that only a true mountain setting can offer.
