Originally built in 1942, this oceanfront home was lovingly reconstructed in 2021 to maintain elements of its vintage charm, while adding every modern amenity to allow you to experience the island lifestyle in comfort.
Relax and feel at home as soon as you arrive at this 3 bedroom, 2 bath oasis. Every inch has been remodeled with thought and care to maximize comfort and connect you to the ocean. Experience the real Hawaii in this home, right on the sand. Book your plane ticket, pack your swimsuit and flip flops, we’ve got everything else you need! This is the perfect place for a family looking to unwind, or someone who wants to live their dream and telework from the beach. Explore most any water sport in your own backyard. No need to pay high rental fees as surfboards, boogie boards, a paddle board and kayak are here for your use. The break in front of the house is the perfect spot to learn how to surf, with a short paddle out and a gentle wave, great for youngsters or those new to surfing. On days when it’s flat, paddle along the coast on the paddle board or take out the two-person kayak. Purchase some bait at the local fish shop and fish from the beach. Then fire up the grill and enjoy your catch on the lanai with a beer as the sun slips below the horizon to the west, lighting up the sky in orange and pink and purple.
The chef’s kitchen is ideal for the person who enjoys cooking or entertaining, with a 48-inch Thermador double oven and gas range, ample quartz countertops, as well as a local hand-crafted monkey pod wood countertop.
The 10-foot kitchen window is perfect for passing a frozen concoction or food out to the grill master. The beverage center fridge ensures that young and old are well hydrated. Pour the perfect cappuccino with the push of a button and sip your morning coffee on the privacy of your lanai as the sun rises over the mountains to the east. A teak table on the lanai is perfect for outdoor meals and enjoy a comfortable lounge area with a couch, chairs and hanging chair, sunbath on a lounger or relax in the hammock strung between palm trees and let the waves melt your worries away.
From the first floor a wide staircase winds its way up to the 3 bedrooms that all overlook the ocean. At the top of the steps, you will find a vintage brass boat porthole that serves as a door to the laundry chute that drops directly into the laundry room below. There are AC units in every bedroom and 2 in the living area downstairs, though you may prefer to open the windows and let the tradewinds flow through. The primary bedroom has a luxurious king-sized bed and walk in closet. There is a sitting area next to three large windows that give you ample beach and Diamondhead views and enough room for a baby pack and play.
The second bedroom, decorated with a modern surf vibe has a full-size bed that looks out to the ocean, along with a sitting area. The third bedroom has a fun tropical feel with a twin trundle bed and a writing desk.
The three bedrooms upstairs share an spa like bathroom with marble and warm wood tones. It’s a perfect place at the end of the day relaxing in the tub. It features plenty of storage, a custom oak double vanity, and an enclosed water closet.
A few times a year we are visited by native Hawaiian monk seals, who find peace and quiet for a few hours rest on the sandy beach in this amazing place. You won’t regret your decision to book this wonderful private home on the beach and have an experience you will never forget!
