Summary: This is a very traditional hotel. The only negative is the lack of a lift but staff were more than happy to carry bags to rooms. The hotel has a lovely history and is still run by the family who built it over 100 years ago. Much of the original decor is preserved and respected amongst updated amenities. Dinner at the restaurant (there are not many, if any, convenient, local alternatives) was fancy and exceptional. It's location cannot be beaten and a walk around the waterfall is a must. For those with mobility issues, the waterfall has convenient viewing platforms accessible from the hotel car-park.
