Positive: Great value! Rooms were very comfortable, clean, and the staff were extremely professional and courteous, and the breakfast was also very good. Location is a an advantage. Esslingen is a charming town, well situated near Stuttgart. We enjoyed the Cannstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart - the hotel is within easy walking distance to the train station and less than 15 minute train ride to the stop adjacent to the festival grounds.

Negative: Only part of our stay I did not care for was the lack of parking space at the hotel. However, this was not a major detractor. You can unload at the hotel entrance and there is a public parking garage a few hundred meters from the hotel at the Küferstrasse/Altstadt location. Parking is not expensive.

Summary: Great value for travelers looking for stay near Stuttgart or to just visiting Esslingen.
