Cozy tinyhouse w/floor to ceiling windows, gas stove, separate bedroom and bathroom. Plan day trips galore then decompress by the fire pit or gaze at the river with nature sounds. Boat on Lake James, hike the Linville Gorge, Tom’s Creek Falls, Hiking Trails or build a fire and make some s’mores. European Steam Sauna and North Fork River access to kayak or paddleboard May - Aug. Sauna Heater was replaced Dec 31, 2023 and is working well.
The house is very comfortable and modern with a cabin feel. It has a gas stove. Separate bedroom with nice queen mattress. TV with a dvd player and a number of classics the owner loves, no cable. Heated and cooled by a brand new Mitsubishi split system. A couch that folds down into a bed and a teeny tiny sleeping loft that has a firm full sized mattress. Tinyhouse is setup with self checkin. Recommended for two adults in bed and children on brand new leather futon sofabed. The loft bed is very very small (a full) and a very tight fit. Slept there once with 6’2 friend and we had to time our side turns and our faces were an inch from the ceiling.
This is one of 3 tinyhouses at Lake James Tiny Houses GlampCamp. It is a small camp with a lot of heart put into it and the tiny houses curve around the river with a private outdoor space for each. Access to shared amenities including the european steam sauna, large firepit, kayaks, paddleboards and river access. The river connects directly to Lake James.
If you want total privacy and the property all to yourself then we recommend booking the entire property. It is fun to do with friends or relatives together just check the listing that includes all three tiny houses (sorry, airbnb doesnt allow links here).
Currently piloting Starlink and some cell services can be limited.
Pet fee is per dog. No cats, sorry.
You can enjoy the entire property including the communal firepit, sauna, steps to the river, kayaks, paddleboards and the tinyhouse.
I am digitally available for guests and am often there savoring a tiny. I created this experience to share my passion for nature and disconnecting from it all with my own family, friends and now you. I really want you to have a great experience and am always available for questions, feedback or concerns.
The river is peaceful to sit by with the firepits roaring. The town of Marion is 3.4 miles away with some great restaurants and local shops if you get sick of the woods or the weather is bad or you want to get something to bring home. In summer, I like driving across to Nebo and sitting outside at Fonta Flora, then sitting on the boat dock and looking at the lake. In the winter I like grilling outside then smores and fires and saunaing Reading books in a very undistracting place.
Plenty of parking on property in circular gravel driveway.
Two public boat docks within five miles.
The house is supplied by well water; if there arent guests for a few days or you are gone all day then return, you may need to run the water for a few minutes for it to be clear. Bring drinking water if well water isnt your thing (it isnt my thing being an urban dweller used to city water). Please bring your own firewood for your firepit or collect it. Bring your own charcoal for the grill.
There is a train that sometimes goes by 4 miles away.
We do our best to ensure everything is in working order by performing regular checks and proper maintenance.
Due to problems in the past, I do not allow locals to book unless you send a note with the reason you are booking and a promise to not have parties. Treat my home as your own. • Check-in time is anytime after 3pm and check-out is 11AM.
Checking out any time after 11AM or earlier than 3 pm will result in an additional fee of $25 and must be requested prior to your stay so the cleaners can confirm. Extra guests must be noted in your reservation. Each guest must be in the waiver and sign upon checkin to stay. Please let us know if more than two people are there so proper linens are there at checkin.
If you break or stain it, you will be responsible for replacement costs.
No smoking inside. House will be set to 70 degrees in summer and fall. Please conserve energy. If you break something replace it. Just be respectful. Please wash any dishes you use and put them away before you leave. Thanks!
