Positive: Der Berghof is a traditional hotel in the centre of the village but in a quiet little side-street - a beautiful old house with wrap-around flower-clad balconies. Our room was in a quiet part of the hotel - comfortably furnished, and spacious enough. The hotel owner was a perfect host - he tried his best to meet every request (such as for an easily accessible parking space) and made everyone feel warmly welcome. Breakfast was good and so was dinner, on the occasions when we had our evening meal there.

Negative: Our balcony was towards the back of the house and the ventilation shaft from the kitchen ran through a corner of the balcony. This caused noise and vibration on those evenings when the restaurant was open. However, as we were there during the hottest part of the summer, this room and balcony at the side received only brief hours of direct sunshine which made it easier to keep cool, and so we did not ask to change the room.
