We are thrilled to host you in our historic home! Built in 1920, this house boasts many beautiful, original features such as the brick fireplace, the stunning glass cabinets, the light fixtures, the original built-in cabinet upstairs, and of course, the beautiful woodwork throughout!
The downstairs features our cozy living room with plenty of space to relax and unwind. Above the stately fireplace is a 50" Amazon Fire TV with all your favorite apps downloaded. Through the antique archway to the left of the living room is our open floor plan dining room and newly remodeled modern kitchen, equipped with new appliances throughout and charming kitchenware for all your meals. Our spacious walk in pantry provides some much needed essentials to get your stay going to a great start. Off of the dining room is our light filled sunroom-turned-office, with beautiful glass paned doors and a large all wood desk ready to setup your work station.
Up the beautiful wooden stairwell to the spacious second floor landing you will find our bathroom with original tile floors, a newly reglazed bathtub/shower with great water pressure, multiple hotel quality towels, and plenty of storage for all your personal needs. There's even more storage next to the bathroom in the original wooden built in! The two spacious and bright bedrooms have a cozy California king and queen beds, both with multiple sets of sheets and delightful duvets, along with all new furniture and ample closets. Get your work out on in the next room over in our bedroom-turned-gym with a Bowflex c6 spin bike (we like to connect to Peloton), and the provided dumbbells and resistance bands while connecting to your favorite workout app on the mounted Fire TV.
The whole house has all the cozy touches you could need for modern life - fast fiber Wifi, our two FireTVs, free garage parking, washer/dryer, a front and backyard, keyless entry to the front and back doors, Ring cameras protecting the premises and a Ring doorbell, digital touchscreen thermostat, and plenty of closet and storage space. Located in the historic Walnut Hill/Bemis Park neighborhood, we are across the street from a beautiful park, and a short walk to coffee shops, diners, and the gorgeous St. Cecilia Cathedral. We are walking or super short driving distance to the Old Market, Benson, UNMC, Blackstone, Little Bohemia, Creighton, UNO, the Henry Doorly Zoo, Lauritzen Gardens, and Charles Schwab field.
