Little Loon Cottage is a newly built, architect-designed cottage overlooking beautiful Hosmer Pond just 3 miles from downtown Camden and adjacent to the Camden Snow Bowl (ski mountain) and the Ragged Mountain Recreation Area (hiking & biking trail network). The cottage is thoughtfully constructed with great flow, quality furnishings, and an all around fun vibe.
The cottage offers well balanced spaces that are both functional and attractive. The main level features a water view living room with over-sized windows and lots of sunshine. The space is cozy and comfortable with stuffed couch, chairs, and flat screen Smart TV. The kitchen features tasteful, cottage-style cabinetry, new appliances, and lovely granite counters--not too fancy but just right! Everything is crisp, clean, and high quality with vintage flairs of a classic "Maine camp". A retro dining table with seating for 4 is located between the living & kitchen areas and French doors from the kitchen lead out to a fabulous patio area (ready for the spring/summer season) with gorgeous views to the pond--perfect for an evening BBQ, or cocktails. The main level also features a tasteful mudroom/entry area with slate floors to kick off your shoes, or hang your towel or coat.
The upper floor offers 2 bedrooms. The queen master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling and bank of windows looking out at the pond and Snow Bowl mountain providing much light and an airy & open feel. The space is inviting and well appointed with cottage style wardrobes, desk area, and flat screen Smart TV. The rear bedroom offers two twin beds, desk area, and thoughtful decor. A custom bath with roomy shower and full laundry is located between the two upstairs bedrooms. There are attractive Bamboo floors throughout both levels.
Hosmer Pond is located across the street from the cottage and there is a private dock for swimming and boating or just lounging in the afternoons to watch the sun set. In winter, the pond freezes and offers winter sport activities like ice skating, XC skiing or fat tire biking in the vast network of trails in the area. Or just collect your downhill skis and hit the chairlift! The immediate area is an outdoor paradise in every season with 100's of acres of green space and miles of trails to explore--in addition to Hosmer Pond in your front yard! And Camden village is just 5 minutes away with restaurants, shops, and harbor activities.
Little Loon Cottage is comfortable no matter what season you visit with a central heating system and attractive gas "woodstove" for additional heat and ambiance in the colder months. There are ceiling fans in every room for the occasional "hot" summer day. There is high speed WIFI throughout and plenty of nooks to set up a laptop and "work" or stay connected with friends. Beds, linens, furniture & furnishings are all top notch--this is a well equipped, upscale property, with thoughtful execution in every way.
