Positive: If those of us who use Booking.com don't post full and frank reviews then we're doing each other a disservice, so here goes... The location is fine, once you've found the track behind the main house. The key box is in an obvious location. The entrance door leads immediately to a couple of steps down into the brightly decorated dining area and adequate kitchen. It took us a few moments to figure out that the toilet is in fact in a cupboard beside the entrance area! There's enough equipment to produce a simple meal, although a wooden spoon and better knife wouldn't go amiss. A complimentary bottle of local cider is a nice touch. The shower is great. Hot water on demand and a really good flow rate. The tiny hamlet is a quiet, tranquil place and there's plenty of nearby parking.  The beach is exceptional, albeit around twice the stated distance away (measured at 650m). Mile after mile of sand and shells. A pity dogs are not allowed to use it. That said our two enjoyed it anyway, as they don't read signs very well, and pre-season, in poor weather the place was deserted, bar a few kite surfers.
Negative: There are some negatives, some of which have been pointed out before but which I was too stupid to take more notice of.  Firstly, this place is very small. It is not what you might imagine from the wide angle pictures used in the listing. Look carefully before you commit, as it really is just a single room. The listing describes it as "semi-detached". In the UK we'd call it a studio. I'd also point out that the terrace (not a "garden") does not quite live up to the rather glamorous photograph and, during our stay, was home to a lot of fallen leaves, partly from the wisteria which was blocking much of the light at the kitchen window and also entwining itself around the mop handle (in testament to when the mop might last have seen active duty?). The BBQ? Didn't find it. Oh, and they're isn't actually an oven in the kitchen area, just the microwave and two ring hob. Others have mentioned the cleaning charges and fees for bedding/towels. I concur that this is, having stayed here, excessive and unwarranted. We will clean up such that we leave as we found. There were additional fees for our two tiny dogs to stay, but given that we are doing the cleaning, I think those will have to be written off. Overall, although my wife thinks that the listing is deliberately misleading, I'm prepared to give the benefit of the doubt and put some of this down to a lack of care in drafting the advertisement.
