2 Bedroom Cottage in Oprtalj
Our house is situated in the heart of Istria, the land of truffles, wild boars and deer, delicious wine, good restaurants, cycling (house is near the well known cycling road Parenzana), hiking, rich history and historical medieval towns like Motovun and Grožnjan. Approximately 30 minutes away is the nearest beach at Novi grad or Tar bay. In Novi grad you can rent a boat if you have a permit. We highly recomend it as you can enjoy the true Mediterranian see.
The house was an old peasant cottage renovated this year to modern standards. The whole property is for your sole use. The only and nearest house is 50 meters away, but there is olive grove in between so you cannot see the neighbours and vice versa.
Outdoors:
On left side of the house, there is a terace with BBQ and sink. You can prepare your own meal outside and enjoy the food under the shade of an old fig tree around tipical istrian stone table.
On the right side of the house there is a balcony, perfect for early morning coffe apreciating the mist above the Mirna river and sun bathed Motovun. On the right side of the house there is a 9m x 3m unheated pool with lounge area and outdoor beds for sun bathing.
In front of the house you can pick home bio grapes (late summer), figs, mediteranian herbs and if you are lucky mini tomatoes.
Indoors:
When you enter the house you see a large space 8m x 5m with kitchen (kettle, toaster, microwave, induction cooktop, ovenstove), eating table for 6, OLED 65inch TV, fireplace and comfy sofa for potential binging or afternoon siesta. TV provides Apple TV, Netflix and HBO MAX and has sound suround system. There is also DVD with collection of older movies. Sony Audio Sistem (Bluetooth, DVD, radio...) is at your disposal with several classic, jazz, musical or modern ambiental music.
On upper floor are two bedrooms with aircondition and queen beds (160cm x 200cm) and a bathroom with two sinks, shower and bath. There is also a small library with croatian, english and french books. If there is an urgent need to answer an email or zoom meeting, each room has a desk and wifi is provided.
On the ground floor you can find another bathroom with the shower and utility (washing machine and iron board).
