Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Internally the house was reasonably clean. The bed was comfortable. The sauna was excellent. Location of the house was good - it was easy to reach many parts of the island from it.
Negative: We arrived at the house at the agreed time and day only to find no-one there and the hosts had forgotten we were coming. This was unacceptable. We duly phoned and surprised them. They arrived after a while to clean and ready the house for us. We were sent away for 2 hours while they were doing this. Because we were not expected the hot-tub was cold. It took a day to warm up but then on attempting to use for the first time we found it had not been cleaned - there was dirt and sediment in the bottom of it. We turned it off and did not use it for the period of our stay. The kitchen was poorly equipped with many normally anticipated and expected utensils and cookware missing. The small oven which sits on the worktop we found to be inadequate. There were no instructions for using anything anywhere. The outside areas were very tired indeed ranging from a postage stamp size of artificial grass to outside table which was too dirty to use.
Summary: Mixed feelings, but we made the most of our week.
