Positive: I loved everything. The property itself is spacious, has all of the accommodations you need for a short or long stay. It is a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in st Martin which has tons of restaurants and cafes and beach yoga and beach clubs with (if you search) relatively cheap day rates for loungers and so many other things and a short walk the other way to a centre commercial, supermarket, pharmacy and everything you could need. The wifi is amazing. I was happy to see a small safe for passport etc. The balcony is huge and the view from the balcony is one in a million (both of the lake in the front and the ocean in the back) If you like birdwatching the lake across the street has lots of amazing birds (frigate birds, hummingbirds etc.), some of them might come close to your window and say hi. But more than all of this the key to this property are the two owners. They are just good people and they make incredible efforts to make sure your stay is perfect, from recommending delivery services for groceries (and making sure they are there when you arrive) to compiling PowerPoint presentations of all of the key things you need to settle into the apartment, to their recommendations on restaurants (although a Michelin rated restaurant is right next door), to a list of common hikes.
Negative: The property itself is ideal. This being said, it is Saint Martin, so be prepared for a couple of hours every other week of occasional blackouts . Also, it’s the French side, so while the water won’t make you sick, you are better off ordering Evian upfront (owners can help).
