Summary: Our room was nice, however when we got back after an evening out and tried turning on the air con, the panel was locked. After phoning reception and unsuccessfully getting through, I had to walk down to reception to get it turned on, upon which they told me the doors had to be shut and only they can control it and that he would turn it on. I went back to the room and noticed there was a tapping sound coming from the air con, I phoned down and couldn’t get through. I tried to ignore it but it was very hard to ignore so after not sleeping for a couple of hours I called again, to which the night porter came and looked at it and said I could either have the noise or have the air con off. For context it was really hot still and the air con on was barely taking the edge off and the noise was very annoying and the night porter agreed there was clearly an issue. I ended up just not really sleeping. It would be helpful to mention on check in that the doors have to be completely closed for the air con to work. There was no wifi in the room either which I mentioned a few times and got dismissed as a non issue, I am tech savvy and your systems coverage just didn’t work in the room and neither did the backup, they did work in the lobby. When I mentioned the issues on check out I got the impression your receptionist didn’t really care
