Summary: What's not to love about Baan Surkeep!! The gorgeous jungle like garden, beautiful pool,bar and restaurant, the smiling attentive staff,the cleanliness of the facility the delicious food and great music. A slight snafu at check in was handled promptly by the owner which resulted in our getting a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the pool. The only thing I feel I should mention is yes its a 8 minute walk down hill to the beach but then you have to cross a very busy 4 lane road and walk for about 300 meters along the busy road that has no sidewalk, to cut through a fence to the beach, then you have to do it all over again but this time walking up the hill in the heat. So if you have health or mobility issues like I do, its an issue. Plus bring mosquito repellent.
