Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: B&B Gattopardo's location could not be better, steps away from the beach, about as far south as you can go on the Italian peninsula. The beach was uncrowded, with boats and paddleboards and swimmers in the crystaline water. Cristopharo (our host) was a wealth of information -- extremely helpful on my mission to visit my grandfather's home village of Terravecchia. Our first floor room (the first floor above ground floor) was immaculate and comfortable, with sufficient space to move around. Directly opposite the B&B is Lido Gattopardo, a small eatery lodged on the beach, offering tasty Italian pastries and meals and alcoholic beverages -- my choice was Italian beer Peroni.. We ate there a few times and every meal was delicious. Free Wifi was most helpful. Cellular service was intermittent, limiting cell data usefulness. The cellular issue was not Gattopardo's fault, and we relied greatly on the Wifi availability.

Negative: Although the room was spacious, the furnishings were minimal, with places to hang clothing or store in drawers, but zero chairs. Also, there was no tea kettle or other provision to make tea or coffee in the room. Minor disappointments, not deal breakers at all.

Summary: Bottom line: Would we stay there again? Absolutely!
