Positive: We went in low season, early spring, and the temperature was around 25°. We specifically chose this property as we wanted to be out of the hustle and bustle of the main city, somewhere close to nature and far from tourist-crowds. The property is a 22min drive from the airport or 1.5hrs on public transport. Uber is readily available here, and there are taxi ranks and bus stops nearby. The city centre is a 10min drive from the property. We knew the property was out of the way and at the top of a steep hill, but we didn't mind the walk - be warned however if you are unfit or bringing a small child, as it may be a bit of a challenge. The property and room was fantastic. The pool is bigger than how it appears in the pictures featured, and we very much enjoyed having a swim and sunbathe with such stunning views. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen area and bathroom were clean and had everything we needed - the only issue was getting hot water from the shower, but we managed. The nearest supermarket is a 20min walk down the hill. The hosts cater towards your every need and are very friendly and helpful. They have loquat trees growing around the property bearing delicious fruits, and you must try them! They also produce their own olive oil, which I promise will be the most delicious you've ever had! Atún the dog is very excitable and was also very welcoming! There are a lot of hikes around which was perfect for us: we did the 2-3hr hike first to the Parque Forestal Lagarillo Blanco which was easy, but then decided to go further to the Cuevas Kársticas and that was very hard, with no path, a steep incline, and lots of loose rocks and dense foliage to adventure through. The latter is not for the unprepared or inexperienced! The view from the caves was otherworldly though. The beaches (Playa Peñon del Cuervo) are a 15-20min walk but were too cold in April for us to take a dip in. They were clean and uncrowded.
