Our single story, private residence is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood so we do not allow parties or outside guests. Our check-in time is after 4pm and checkout is before 11am. We can often accommodate other arrangements when contacted in advance!
Andy's Retreat is a comfortable, spacious convenient home base to relax and explore Portland & Coastal Maine. We're located right off Exit 53 of the Maine Turnpike, just 15 minutes ($15 Uber) from the Old Port (downtown Portland), 20 minutes to LL Bean/Freeport Outlets / Scarborough Beach, 30 minutes to Sebago Lake, 1 hr to Shawnee Peak & 1.5 hours to Sunday River.
We're just 1.5 miles from a large Hannaford supermarket, Dunkin' Donuts and The Moose - a great sports bar with with excellent food! Allagash, Foundation and Definitive brewing are just 5 minutes away.
The house offer lots of privacy and features a 20 x 40 heated, outdoor swimming pool (open and heated seasonally to 75 degrees June - Labor Day), HotSprings hot tub (adults only), central AC (set to 76/74 degrees), Weber barbecue, outdoor fire pit (propane), basketball hoop, high speed 300mb internet , (2) flat screen tvs with Youtube TV and Amazon Prime. We have plenty of free off street parking.
We provide everything you need (except food!) from clean linens, towels, propane, shampoo, soap, washer/dryer and cleaning supplies!
With a large kitchen, central kitchen island and adjacent sun room, there's plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy cooking and spending time together.
Our guests appreciate that the back wing of the house contains 3 of the 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. This arrangement allows for cooking / socializing in the front wing and privacy/quiet in the back wing.
The front wing of the house has another bedroom and 1/2 bath. Guests also enjoy our covered patio, outdoor fire pit, sun-room, in-home stereo system, 1st floor laundry and quiet neighborhood - great for a walk or run anytime!
