Positive: the owners dodi and marion were fantastically gracious hosts and the staff devi, ayu, ray, and kadek among others were so warm and welcoming and always went out of their way. the villa was comfortable and clean. lots of greenery in and around the property adds to its charm. the menu was extensive and food was delicious.
Negative: nothing i didn't like; a few i didn't mind. prospective guests might want to note that there is no direct car access to the front of the property - the narrow but driveable track along the beach ends at villa sanika beside it, a short 20m away. there is some ongoing construction along the beach in front of the property, which might be a negative for some folks. does not detract from the great view in the day and lulling sound of crashing waves at night. for me, it has all the amenities for a very comfortable stay, and i find the lush greenery part of the charm, but for some others, it might be a bit too rustic.
Summary: a little gem full of charm and tranquility - i had a wonderful stay.
