From the terrace of this comfortable penthouse you have a beautiful view to the south and the west on the mountain landscape and the picturesque Mauterndorf with its medieval castle.
In this apartment complex you will find a lift that will take you comfortably to the 3rd floor. Here you will find a tastefully decorated penthouse. The living room has a cosy seating area, a dining table and an open, well-equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms have their own TV. After a day in the countryside or skiing you can recharge your batteries in the private sauna. Furthermore, you can make use of the ski storage room and the bicycle storage room.
Mauterndorf is an idyllic Austrian mountain village at an altitude of 1,100 metres. The people here are proud of the nature and the local cuisine. The village offers many hours of sunshine in summer and a long, snowy ski season. The castle of Mauterndorf is nearby and fun to visit. The supermarket and numerous excellent restaurants with mainly regional cuisine are within walking distance.
The skiing area "Grosseck-Speiereck" is only a few kilometres away from the apartment. The ski bus stops at the door every 15 minutes and takes you to the family-friendly ski area in no time. The area has mainly blue and red slopes, but also some challenging black slopes. Due to the high altitude of 2,400 metres, you can usually ski from November to May. The Katschberg-Aineck area, the smaller "Fanningberg" and the well-known "Obertauern" ski area can also be reached very easily and quickly from here. Cross-country skiers can hit the trails right in the village.
In summer, the mountains and forests will enchant nature lovers. Mauterndorf and its surroundings are an ideal walking area or you can take a beautiful ride on the "Taurachbahn", Austria's highest narrow-gauge railway. This steam locomotive only runs in summer and is therefore a very special highlight during your stay in Mauterndorf. Would you like to play a round of golf? There is a well-maintained 18-hole golf course just 8 km away. Golfing between the mountains is a special experience!

Villa for You is not responsible for unavoidable or extraordinary circumstances before or during your booked holiday period as a result of (adjusted) Corona measures, unless these measures are about a ban on entry in the region where the holiday home you have booked is located.
No cancellation insurance yet? Then we advise you to do so as soon as possible and no later than 7 days after making the reservation. By taking a cancellation insurance, you will be refunded the paid travel sum in case of cancellation, if there is an insured event.
