We channeled "Laugh In" meets "Juliet of the Spirits" for this 1970s Hampton escape: groovy period decor, comfortable beds with new mattresses and cotton sheets, a backyard and side porch, all blocks from Buckroe Beach. Pet friendly and premium wifi package.
This home is 6 miles from the Hampton Coliseum, 15 minutes to Newport News, 30 minutes Yorktown/Busch Gardens and 35 minutes outside Williamsburg.
Ocean View Beach 10 minutes and Virginia Beach Ocean front 30 minutes.
This is an older, un-updated home, and the bathroom and kitchen are kept clean, but are time worn. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher or ice maker (there is a counter top one), etc, all typical for a home built in 1969. Though we treat for pests, it's the beach, so you might see a Palmetto bug.
Side porch off the kitchen for sitting or dining outside.
There is a fenced backyard, but escape artist dogs could find a spot to get out, so all dogs should be attended or leashed when outside.

Summary: Our stay was wonderful. Home had everything needed and lots of added perks like snacks and toiletries some of us might have forgotten! Very thoughtful. Great yard for our dog. Short walk to the beach/park great for the puppy and the granddaughter. Despite the rainy weekend we made the most of our beach time. Many great restaurants close by. Great time!!
