Villa Piantoni is nestled in the heart of the Umbrian countryside on the private, gated grounds of the Castello di Antognolla Estate. Secluded and tranquil, Piantoni stands in a wonderful position, at an altitude of 475 meters, affording panoramic views of the gentle rolling hills, meadows and silvery olives groves that comprise the Estate of Antognolla. At this altitude, the sun lingers late into summer evenings as if to allow you time to return home from a pleasant stroll on Antognolla's 600 hectare nature reserve, or from a challenging round of golf on Antognolla's 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones II.
Built in the late 1600's, Piantoni has been carefully restored to preserve its original character and charm. With its hand-carved ceiling beams, reclaimed terra cotta floor tiles and wrought iron fittings, Piantoni has been tastefully and comfortably furnished with antiques and custom-made furniture.
The Castle of Antognolla, dating from the twelfth century, is presently undergoing careful restoration and will begin its new life as a luxury resort. Guests of Piantoni will have access to all of the facilities offered by the resort, including restaurants, spa, health club, tennis courts, golf course and conference center.
Entrance to the grounds of the Estate of Antognolla is through a secured gate, and guests are provided with a pass upon arrival.
