You will find our home in the historic heart of Medina Sidonia, an ancient and beautiful Spanish town and one of the renowned 'pueblos blancos'. Bustling and thriving and only 20 minutes from Vejer De La Frontera and 35 minutes from the stunning beaches of the Costa de la Luz including El Palmar and Conil de la Frontera. Our home forms part of a traditional Spanish courtyard, filled with plants. We are a 1 minute walk from the Plaza de España, with its bars and restaurants and daily indoor market selling fruits, vegetables, nuts, local honey, meat, eggs, and the fish stalls.
The space
There are steps up to the front door. There is no parking with the property but there are lots of free options very close (we will provide all info). Internally, there is a hall with stairs to the first floor bedroom, this doubles as a peaceful area to sit and soak up the morning sun with the front door open. Off the ground floor there is a calm bedroom with exposed ceiling timbers and window to the front pretty courtyard. The Andalusian tiled hallway leads to refitted luxury bathroom with large walk in shower cubicle, bath, sink and toilet, window with pretty rooftop view. Large, 3 area, open-plan kitchen/reception space with stunning view to the street. Central room with vaulted ceiling and circular window, two stone arches divide the three areas. To one side is a cosy sitting room with comfy sofas, there is a range of books, DVDs, chess, scrabble to use.
The other side is fully-fitted kitchen with central table, oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine. A big selection of cook books and fully stocked kitchen as we love to cook.
The top floor bedroom is big and open with a circular window to one of the church towers.
This propert works brilliantly for one couple or for four people or a family. Outside there is a bench where you can sit and drink your morning coffee or an evening wine. Its very peaceful as it is tucked on a no through road. Everything the town offers is so close.
Its a hop, skip and a jump and you're in the Plaza with its bars and restaurants!
Guest can access
Roof top shared terrace, the bench is ours to go under the bedroom window.
We will meet you and see you in and show you around, we will then head off and if you need anything at any time you can contact us.
Other things to note
You can treat our house as your home, all we ask is for respect to our friendly Spanish neighbours. The Spanish enjoy noise and there is no problem partying and playing music within normal Spanish hours. Play music and enjoy your holiday. We tend to turn it down around midnight to continue in a quieter way.
This is a leave it how you found it rental. Please sweep and clean kitchens as bathrooms as necessary and on vacating take your rubbish and pop it in the black bins at the end of the street.
Electricity is very expensive. Please be mindful of this and avoid leaving lights and appliances running needlessly. Please make sure to switch off the hot-water immersion heater after showers have been taken as this is the biggest culprit of all!
