Positive: We initially had trouble finding the correct address because DeCamondo Residence and the nearby DeCamondo hotels have similar names. The Residence staff sent me directions on the morning of check-in, but unfortunately I did not see their messages in time. A big thank you to the gentleman at one of the nearby DeCamondo hotels. We arrived at the wrong property, but he kindly called DeCamondo Residence and arranged for the bellboys to help carry our luggage to the nearby building. This was a great relief because the route involved stairs and an uphill walk. When we arrived, the owner and staff welcomed us warmly and shared a few helpful local tips. We had booked a spacious, clean two-bedroom apartment on the third floor. Although there was no lift, the bellboys carried our luggage upstairs. The kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked, and the location was excellent—just a short walk from the tram stop, Galata Tower, restaurants, supermarkets, and the Karaköy ferry terminal. The owner and staff also responded promptly whenever we requested extra amenities during our four-night stay. Highly recommended. We would definitely book DeCamondo Residence again if we return to Istanbul.
